Denise (Hogue) Hoff, inspired by Macomb, Illinois art instructor Don Heberling, began painting in acrylic and oils in 1969. Following high school graduation 1970, she continued to dabble in art, and took some private lessons. After marriage in 1978, family life became her focus, with painting becoming a rare pleasure.
